Federico Caricasulo signs with D34G Racing Team for the rest of 2025

After his split with Motozoo Racing in May, the Italian has found a new home atop D34G WorldSSP Racing Team’s Panigale V2

The eight-year veteran of FIM World Supersport World Championship action will begin a new chapter in his WorldSSP career at his home round for the upcoming Pirelli Emilia-Romagna Round. The announcement comes after the departure on mutual grounds between Caricasulo and Motozoo Racing, with which he had competed in 2024 as well as the first five rounds of last season. His 2025 season had been off pace for the seven-time race winner, culminating in a change of scenery, which will see him reunited with Ducati Machinery.

The #64’s two seasons with Althea racing and their Ducati Panigale V2 were some of the most successful of Caricasulo’s long career so far, and his best since his one-season move to WorldSBK in 2020. He finished with a fifth, then fourth-place position in the Riders’ Championship across the 2022 and 2023 seasons: racking up a total of 12 podiums and one race win across that period.

The 29-year-old Caricasulo said, “The move to D34G Racing, even though it’s happening halfway through the season, is what I felt I need right now. I need to return to my previous level of performance and consistently fight for the top positions. I see the potential in this team to allow me to do that. I already rode a Ducati in 2022 and 2023, securing 13 podiums and a race win, so I know the bike has great potential, and I want to make the most of it. I can’t wait to get started already at Misano, and I want to thank Davide and his team for this great opportunity and for the trust they’ve placed in me.”

Caricasulo is not the only party that is excited about the move. On the signing, Team Manager Davide Giugliano said, “I’m extremely happy with Federico’s arrival. He’s a rider with incredible experience and a former runner-up in the world championship. He already raced with Ducati in recent years and was very fast. We’re really pleased to welcome him into the team garage, because we know how high he can aim with the grit and speed that set him apart. From our side, we’ll give him all our support so he can return to being one of the key protagonists of the Supersport World Championship. I’m really excited and can’t wait for Misano – it’s the home round for all of us, and we’ll have plenty of people there supporting us. I also want to thank the sponsors, who make all this possible, and Federico for placing his trust in our project and outfit. We know we can do well together and change the momentum of this season.”
